Our organization is a private not for profit corporation that is certified by the United States Small Business Administration with its mission to provide funding through the SBA’s 504-loan program. Our goal is to increase capital investment and jobs in the communities that we service. We pride ourselves in providing the best possible service to our clients. These clients include, but are not limited to, businesses in the service, manufacturing, retail, wholesale, professional, medical and sporting fields.

The Center for Rural Development is a non-profit organization charged with the mission of improving the quality of life for individuals in its 42-county primary service region by providing leadership that stimulates innovative and sustainable economic development solutions. This holistic approach to development provides rural Kentuckians the tools needed to meet the demands of the new economy and succeed in the modern age. Now an ever-expanding hub of technology, training, arts, and public safety solutions, The Center is committed to constantly increasing its capabilities in order to deliver a range of key services throughout Kentucky and the nation.
Community Ventures Corporation
Founded in 1982, Community Ventures Corporation (CVC) is a community-based, non-profit organization that exists to improve the quality of life for urban and rural residents throughout central and northern Kentucky, including Lexington, Louisville, Bowling Green, by providing individuals and families with the skills, income, and assets they need to achieve financial independence. CVC helps people increase income and build assets with three main strategies: small business ownership, home ownership, and job creation through business expansion.
The Eastern Region Innovation and Commercialization Center (ICC) program serves 46 counties of eastern Kentucky and includes Innovation Centers (ICs) in West Liberty, Ashland, and Paintsville. The Eastern ICC is located at EKU under the CEDET office of the College of Business & Technology. The ICC program is funded by the Kentucky DCI and is administered through KSTC.Kentucky Cabinet for Economic DevelopmentThe Cabinet for Economic Development is the primary state agency in Kentucky responsible for creating new jobs and investment in the state. Programs administered by the Cabinet are designed to support and promote economic development within the state, primarily by attracting new industries to the state, assisting in the development of existing industries, and assisting communities in preparing for economic development opportunities.

Kentucky Small Business Development Center strengthens Kentucky’s economy through the delivery of high quality, in-depth and hands-on business consulting to existing and start-up businesses, creating both wealth and jobs. Our services include: one-on-one management consultations, training workshops, market research, loan packaging help, assistance with financial projections and information needed to make informed business decisions.
Kentucky Student Ventures Corporation
Kentucky Student Ventures Corporation (KSVC) focuses on education, training, mentoring, and encouraging the necessary entrepreneurial skills of Kentucky high school and college age students to create and operate successful student-run small businesses.
Mountain Association for Community and Economic Development (MACED)
MACED works to improve the quality of life in Kentucky and Central Appalachia by creating economic opportunity, strengthening democracy and supporting the sustainable use of natural resources. We are a multi-strategy sustainable development organization committed to building stronger economies that work for low-income people and places in need. MACED currently works in five areas to promote our focus on enterprise development, energy, sustainable forestry, financial services and research for policy change.
U.S. Small Business Administration
The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) was created in 1953 as an independent agency of the federal government to aid, counsel, assist and protect the interests of small business concerns, to preserve free competitive enterprise and to maintain and strengthen the overall economy of our nation. The SBA helps Americans start, build and grow businesses. Through an extensive network of field offices and partnerships with public and private organizations, SBA delivers its services to people throughout the United States, Puerto Rico, the U. S. Virgin Islands and Guam.
